Join the US Campaign for the Academic and Cultural Boycott of Israel for an informative webinar on the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance (IHRA) “working definition” of anti-Semitism and its use by pro-Israeli apartheid organizations to attempt to silence Palestinian and Palestine solidarity organizing on university campuses and in the community. Discuss the implications of the weaponization of anti-Semitism and the “Palestine exception” to freedom of expression with a distinguished panel of lawyers, academics and activists.

Cornel West is a prominent and provocative democratic intellectual. He is Professor of the Practice of Public Philosophy at Harvard University and holds the title of Professor Emeritus at Princeton University. He has also taught at Union Theological Seminary, Yale, Harvard, and the University of Paris. Cornel West graduated Magna Cum Laude from Harvard in three years and obtained his M.A. and Ph.D. in Philosophy at Princeton. Cornel West has a passion to communicate to a vast variety of publics in order to keep alive the legacy of Martin Luther King, Jr. – a legacy of telling the truth and bearing witness to love and justice.

Dima Khalidi is the founder and director of Palestine Legal and Cooperating Counsel with the Center for Constitutional Rights (CCR). She oversees Palestine Legal’s array of legal and advocacy work to protect people speaking out for Palestinian freedom from attacks on their civil and constitutional rights.

Raymond Deane is one of Ireland’s best-known classical composers, and a political activist. In 2001 he co-founded the Ireland-Palestine Solidarity Campaign (IPSC), and chaired it from 2002-5. In 2010 he instigated the “Irish artists’ pledge to boycott Israel” which currently has well over 1000 signatories. Richard Falk, professor emeritus of international law and practice at Princeton University, served as the United Nations Special Rapporteur on “the situation of human rights in the Palestinian territories occupied since 1967” from 2008 to 2013.

Heike Schotten is Associate Professor of Political Science and an affiliated faculty in Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies at the University of Massachusetts Boston. She is a member of the Organizing Collective of USACBI.
