USACBI is joining Jewish Voice for Peace for an important film screening and discussion, especially at this time of confronting censorship and silencing of Palestinian expression.
We will be screening a one-hour supercut and panel discussion of Al Jazeera’s The Lobby – USA, a look into the counterinsurgency projects designed to disrupt Palestine solidarity movement building. This supercut will focus on U.S. college campuses and the Israel lobby’s efforts to disorganize and undermine campus activism.
The one-hour screening will be immediately followed by a panel of experts who will dig into the ways the film’s themes show up in real-life Palestine organizing on campuses. Speakers will include:
- Dr. Rabab Abdulhadi (San Francsisco State University and AMED: Arab & Muslim Ethnicities & Diasporas)
- Kristian Davis Bailey (Palestine Legal)
- Khury Petersen-Smith (Institute for Palestine Studies)
This event is co-sponsored by partners at Palestine Legal, USACBI, Center for Constitutional Rights, Independent Jewish Voices – Canada, Palestinian Youth Movement, National Students for Justice in Palestine, Institute for Palestine Studies, and Adalah Justice Project. If you don’t already, we encourage you to follow and support their work.
