Join us to protest on Saturday, May 9th
from 1 – 3 PM at Leviev New York
700 Madison Ave (btwn 62nd and 63rd St) New York, NY
Stand with Palestinian mothers from villages like Jayyous and Bil”in and call on New Yorkers to boycott Lev Leviev”s Madison Avenue jewelry store every day, but especially on Mother”s Day. Leviev is exploiting this holiday honoring mothers, the second biggest jewelry shopping period annually, to sell his jewelry, even as his companies ruin the lives of mothers in Palestine by building Israeli settlements.
Also, join us as we pay tribute to Bassem Abu Rahma, killed on April 17th in Bil’in by Israeli soldiers as Bil’in continued its four-year nonviolent protest campaign against Israel’s wall and Leviev’s settlement.
Last year, over 200 women from all over the world, including EU Parliament Vice President Luisa Morgantini, signed a call to boycott Israeli billionaire Lev Leviev’s Madison Avenue jewelry store in the run-up to Mother’s Day in the US. Leviev has also been publicly repudiated by UNICEF, Oxfam and the UK government.
