British lecturers vote to boycott Israeli universities

British lecturers have voted overwhelmingly to boycott Israeli universities and colleges. At their annual conference, the lecturers said Israeli academics are complicit in their government’s oppression of Palestinians. However, as soon as the vote was carried it was declared null and void by the lecturers’ union because of legal threats. Roshan Muhammed Salih in Bournemouth reports.
