The Palestinian-led movement for Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions against Israel is facing significant repression internationally and from the Israeli state: from criminalization in France, attempts to pass anti-BDS laws in US state legislatures, to the de facto travel ban imposed upon Palestinian BDS leader and human rights advocate Omar Barghouti. At this time of repression – and as we mark Nakba Day 2016 and the struggle of Palestinian refugees to achieve and implement their right of return to Palestine – it is more critical than ever to build and expand our campaigns, launch new BDS campaigns, and work to achieve the “South Africa moment” for Palestine and the Palestinian people.
